The Mary Potter Nursing Home has many facilities and services designed for the comfort and enjoyment of its residents. MenuA varied and nutritious menu is provided which caters for special dietary requirements. TelephonesResidents can install a phone in their own room while a pay telephone is available in the entry foyer. TelevisionTelevisions are provided in the lounge areas and activities room. Residents are able to supply their own small set in their room and if they desire (and at their cost) have Austar connected. AlcoholSubject to approval from the resident’s own GP, alcohol is permitted. Happy HourA “Happy Hour” is held every Friday afternoon at 4pm where light alcohol and hor’s d’oeuvres are served. Family and friends are welcome to attend. PhysiotherapyOn going exercises and physiotherapy is provided. Recreational ProgramsSpecially tailored activities and programs for groups and individuals are organised. Pastoral Care and ServicesPastoral care services are available daily while Mass and Church Services are held weekly. Visiting hoursVisiting hours are flexible, although the most suitable times are between 10am and 7pm. In special circumstances longer visiting hours may apply. There is capacity for visitors to stay overnight if the need arises. Visiting ServicesHairdresser (Mondays and Wednesdays - a fee for service applies); podiatrist; Red Cross Hand Care volunteers; Community Visitors Scheme; Pets as Therapy; Library. Other services on a fee-for-service basis include dentist, optometrist, and complementary therapies. |
