The Loreto Home of Compassion is one of the most modern nursing homes in NSW. It features large single rooms, enclosed sunny courtyards and a range of support facilities.

Their aim is to provide as homelike an environment as possible and to maintain the independence of the residents as well as their mobility and dexterity as far as possible.

Menu

A varied and nutritious menu is provided which caters for special dietary requirements.

Telephones

Residents can install a phone in their own room while a pay telephone is available.

Television

Televisions are provided in the lounge areas and activities room. Residents are able to supply their own small set in their own room. Austar can also be connected (at the expense of the resident).

Alcohol

Subject to approval from the patient’s own GP, alcohol is permitted.

Physiotherapy

On going exercises and physiotherapy is provided.

Recreational Programs

Specially tailored activities and programs for groups and individuals are organised.

Hairdresser

A hairdresser attends on a fee for service basis.

Pastoral Care

Pastoral care services are available daily while Mass and Church Services are held weekly.

Visiting hours

Visiting hours are flexible, although the most suitable times are between 10am and 7pm. In special circumstances longer visiting hours may apply.

Hairdresser (attends on a fee for service basis); Pets as Therapy; Community Visitors Scheme; Red Cross Hand Volunteers; Podiatrist; Library; Music therapy; speech therapy. Services available on a fee for service basis include dentist, optometrist, complementary therapies.
