The Forrest Centre Wagga Wagga

The Forrest Centre is a unique ecumenical joint venture between the Anglican Diocese of Canberra and Goulburn and the Sisters of the Little Company of Mary, a congregation of Roman Catholic religious sisters.

The Centre incorporates the 60 bed Mary Potter Nursing Home, the 76 bed Loreto Home of Compassion and Forrest Community Services.

Mission

The Forrest Centre is committed to providing compassionate care in meeting the spiritual, psychological, physical and social needs of older people, those with disabilities and the wider community of The Forrest Centre. The Centre cares for each person as an individual, respecting the rights and dignity of all. In their pursuit of quality care, they respond to the needs for change by developing innovative programs aimed at achieving excellence.

Objectives

The Forrest Centre’s Objectives are:

• to ensure that high quality care is provided to all residents and community clients in a professional manner
• to provide a homelike environment in the residential facilities
• to create and maintain a harmonious relationship with and between staff members, relatives, friends and volunteers, co-operating with them in giving total care to their residents.
